Problem Note 48271: The Create Data Source wizard displays a "Could not read selected data table.." error
When you use the Create Data Source wizard in SAS® Enterprise Miner™, the following error might appear.
Error
Could not read selected data table. Check that this table exists and that read
permissions are set correctly.
The error appears even though SAS
® Management Console shows that the table exists.
The problem is typically caused by renaming the data set in SAS Management Console. SAS Enterprise Miner needs to receive the physical name of the data set, not the name that is displayed on the General tab of the SAS Management Console Properties window.
To work around the problem, change the displayed data set name in SAS Management Console so that the name matches the physical data set name.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
